Who We Are
In 2015, Keith and Meg put down permanent roots in Orange County, North Carolina. They love providing high quality, nutrient dense vegetables for the communities that surround Hillsborough, Carrboro, and Durham. They provide full time employement for 4-5 individuals each season and try to offer fair and competitive wages.
Their love of farming began in college when they each worked on farms and gardens. They later met as Peace Corps volunteers in Paraguay where they lived in seprate agrarian communties, meeting natives and sharing skills in gardening and nutrition.
In 2011, Keith and Meg traveled back to the Eastern U.S. and apprenticed at Mountain View Farm, an organic vegetable and animal farm, located in Northern Virginia, for a season, where their mentors honed their growing and marketing skills.
They took these skills and ran for 2 years YonderGround Farm together, a successful farm business at BrambleBerry Permaculture Farm, located in Orange County, Indiana. Keith and Meg grew high quality, Certified Naturally Grown Vegetables for the Bloomington, Indiana community farmers market.
They moved back to the east coast in 2014 to help manage Ivy Brand Farm, a certified organic vegetable farm in eastern Maryland. There they sold their diverse offerings of fresh vegetables to the Washington DC community and offered CSA memberships to families in the nearby Annapolis, Maryland community.
